Configure Material Categories

Set up categories for recipe materials with default markup multipliers.

Steps

  1. 1Go to Settings > Material Categories /dashboard/settings/material-categories.
  2. 2View existing categories.
  3. 3Click "Add Category" to create a new material category.
  4. 4Set a name and a default markup multiplier (e.g., 1.5 for 50% markup).
  5. 5Drag to reorder categories.
  6. 6Categories appear when adding components to a recipe. The default markup cascades: component override > category default > 1×.
  7. 7Configure label terminology ("Product"/"Material") in Settings > Organization.
